The space in-between

We meet at the normal spot. Me early, her late; as usual.

A quick embrace to whisper words, further plans, resolve an outcome. Secrecy was never really my style; though, the situation necessitates.

A final glance, a shared nod. We part ways; not looking back.

What’s right, what’s wrong? Now, it’s hard to say.

The contrast of clarity is lost to me, as the tone of my convictions blurs to shade my actions that day.
